Dominic Prince – my husband. He’s a journalist, too; he makes documentaries (The Last Waterloo Cup, BBC 2005 with director Paul Yule, an amazing, moving film.) He writes in the national papers about business, the countryside, the ‘turf’’ (i.e. horseracing industry). His ‘frugal’ nature is an inspiration. He is a stalwart brewer of meat stock, and enthusiastic consumer of cheap cuts like pigs trotters, which he adds to beef stews, and oxtail. He makes stores of windfall apple puree for our breakfast and is an eager fan of road kill although we only let him bring certain specimens in to the house. Dominic's book, Jumbo to Jockey, was published in January 2011.
Dominic and I have two children, Jack, 27, and Lara, 24.
